FAQ
Common questions
How do I start?
Send a consultation request. Your provider reviews your health history, current medications and what you are hoping to change, then tells you whether treatment fits and what the plan would cost before anything is prescribed.
What will this cost me each month?
Tirzepatide runs from $300 a month at the starting dose to $550 at the highest, and what you pay depends on which dose you are on. Prices for semaglutide, liraglutide and dulaglutide are quoted at consultation. Laboratory testing, when it is needed, is billed separately.
Do I give myself the injections?
Yes, at home, under the skin. Most of these treatments are weekly; your provider confirms the schedule for the one you are prescribed and shows you how to give it at the start.
What if the medication makes me feel sick?
Nausea and constipation are the common ones, usually in the first weeks and after a dose increase. Smaller and slower meals, plainer food and fluids between meals help most people, and your provider can hold the dose or step it back down. Vomiting that will not stop or severe abdominal pain is a reason to call the clinic or seek urgent care the same day.
How often will I see my provider?
There is a visit at the start for baseline labs and targets, another at two to four weeks to see how you are tolerating the medication, a longer review at eight to twelve weeks, and monthly visits after that.
Who should not take these medications?
Anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN type 2, a history of pancreatitis, severe gastrointestinal disease, active cancer, or who is pregnant or breastfeeding. Your full history and medication list are reviewed before treatment is considered.
What if medication is not right for me?
Your provider will say so, and go through what else is available: nutrition and activity changes, other prescription options such as phentermine, bupropion/naltrexone or metformin, or a referral for bariatric consultation.
Can I use the contact form for an urgent medical issue?
No. The contact form is for consultation requests and general questions. For severe or urgent symptoms, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
More detailed questions are covered on each program page.
